يعقد مجلس حكماء المسلمين برئاسة فضيلة الإمام الأكبر أ. د. أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف، رئيس مجلس حكماء المسلمين، اجتماعه الدوري السادس عشر في الرابع من شهر نوفمبر المقبل في مملكة البحرين.
يناقش الاجتماع عددًا من قضايا الأمة الإسلامية الطارئة والملحة، وسبل دعم المجتمعات المسلمة الأكثر احتياجًا، والجاليات المسلمة في الغرب، والأزمات الإنسانية على الساحة العالمية، والتحديات الإنسانية وبخاصة دور رموز الأديان في مواجهة أزمة التغير المناخي، وكذلك سبل تعزيز الحوار بين مختلف مدارس الفكر الإسلامي، والعلاقات الإسلامية المسيحية، ودعم مبادرات حوار الأديان.
كما يناقش مجلس حكماء المسلمين في اجتماعه سبل مواجهة المحاولات الرامية لفرض بعض السلوكيات المخالفة للفطرة الإنسانية على الشعوب الإسلامية، ومحاولات النيل من القيم الدينية وزعزعة مفهوم الأسرة بين فئات الشباب.
وأعرب معالي الشيخ عبدالرحمن بن محمد آل خليفة، رئيس المجلس الأعلى للشئون الإسلامية، عن ترحيب صاحب الجلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة، ملك مملكة البحرين، وشعبه الوفي باستضافة هذا الاجتماع المهم لمجلس حكماء المسلمين والحرص على دعم مخرجاته؛ انطلاقًا من إيمان مملكة البحرين الراسخ والدائم بأهمية التعايش في صناعة السلام والأخوة الإنسانية.
وكان مجلس حكماء المسلمين قد قرر خلال الاجتماع الدوري الخامس عشر للمجلس، والمنعقد في نوفمبر ٢٠٢١م في مقر المجلس بأبوظبي عاصمة دولة الإمارات العربية المتحدة، عقدَ الاجتماع الدوري المقبل بمملكة البحرين؛ تزامنًا مع إقامة ملتقى البحرين للحوار: “حوار الشرق والغرب من أجل التعايش الإنساني” الذي ينعقد خلال الفترة من ٣ : ٤ نوفمبر المقبل برعاية جلالة الملك حمد بن عيسى آل خليفة ملك مملكة البحرين، ومشاركة فضيلة الإمام الأكبر أ. د. أحمد الطيب، شيخ الأزهر الشريف، رئيس مجلس حكماء المسلمين وقداسة البابا فرنسيس بابا الكنيسة الكاثوليكية وعدد من رموز وممثلي الأديان في العالم ونخبة من المفكرين والإعلاميين.
*Muslim Council of Elders to hold 16th meeting in Manama on 4 November 2022*
Under the Chairmanship of the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Muslim Council of Elders is set to hold its 16th meeting on the 4th of November 2022 in the Capital of Bahrain, Manama.
The meeting is set to discuss a number of pressing matters related to the Muslim world including; supporting Muslim communities in the west, ongoing global humanitarian crises as well as climate issues and how religious leaders can play a role in curbing its negative effects, along with encouraging dialogue amongst Islamic groups and sects, Muslim-Christian relations and the support for global religious initiatives.
The Council is also set to discuss the countering of targeted campaigns aimed at imposing unnatural behaviors on Muslim people as well as the discouragement of family values amongst young people.
His Excellency Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain and member of the Muslim Council of Elders said, “His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain welcome the 16th meeting of the Muslim Council of Elders. The Kingdom of Bahrain will unequivocally support the outcomes of this important meeting as part of its firm belief in achieving coexistence in order to maintain global peace and human fraternity.”
The 15th meeting of the Muslim Council of Elders was held in Abu Dhabi in November 2021. During the Abu Dhabi meeting, it was decided that the following meeting would take place in the Kingdom of Bahrain following the ‘Bahrain Dialogue Forum: East and West for Human Coexistence’. The forum is set to take place on the 3rd and 4th of November under the patronage of the His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of the Kingdom of Bahrain and will be attended by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders and His Holiness Pope Francis, Pontiff of the Catholic Church alongside a large number of religious leaders, academic and media figures from around the world.
